Macedonia, Gruevski returns mandate to President. Albanian BDI: “We need more time”

Although VMRO-DMPNE had accepted the platform of Albanians, offering them eight ministries and the Parliament Speaker, Ali Ahmeti’s BDI (DUI) did not accept the coalition.

Ahmeti’s decision came after several hours of long debates, arguments and counterarguments.

After midnight, BDI said that the debate within the party will continue in the days to come.

“We had five options. We discussed them with our international friends. We have decided unanimously to keep discussing within our party. We have no arguments to come up with a decision today”, said Bujar Osmani, Spokesperson of the BDI.
